Great article, but no big surprise. M. Scott Peck, in his book “The Road Less Traveled,” said as much nearly 30 years ago. It made sense then, it makes sense now: basing a life-long relationship (marriage) on something this tenuous and fleeting is NUTS. May I suggest that a copy of this article would make a GREAT pre-wedding gift to ALL would-be brides and grooms. If even ONE couple had the guts to call off or at least postpone their nuptials until they’re PAST this craziness maybe the divorce rate wouldn’t be so high.
